The Canon 5DSR requires the OTG adapter. Plug the OTG adapter into your Promote Control, then plug the USB cable that came with your camera into the other end. This will give you USB control of your camera.
Please be aware of the following:
The Promote Control is capable of sending commands to the 5DSr faster than the processor can react. You may need to increase your shutter cable and USB delays in setup (see Shutter Cable Release Frame Delay and USB Cable Release Frame Delay). We also recommend everyone update to the latest version of firmware.
An additional comment from our engineer:
'The 5DSr is a very slow camera. I recommend using a 2-second delay between frames. Also note, LeNR detection has been disabled altogether for 5DSr because it incorrectly reports it as ON when in fact it's OFF but MLU is ON. Customers who want to use LeNR with 5DSr will need to enable it manually in the Promote Control.'
!Note: Also try experimenting with the "Force legacy USB mode (disable USB 3.0)" setup option. This may speed up the Promote Control/Camera.
