18. Bulb ramping long exposure limit mode

Default: Hard, never exceed

This setting only applies to Bulb Ramping mode. The previous setting, "Limit bulb ramping longest exposure" allows putting a cap on the longest exposure Promote Control will be allowed to do. However, sometimes this cap may severely limit Promote Control functionality. If you encounter a situation where the longest exposure limit mode may have to be pushed, set "Bulb ramping long exposure limit mode" setting to "Soft, allow step over". This will instruct Promote Control to stay within the preset longest exposure for as long as possible, but still allow it to do longer exposures if necessary to maintain the programmed Bulb Ramping sequence.
