Using an AC Adapter

Promote Control can be powered from an optional external AC adapter. When the AC adapter is connected, Promote Control does not use its internal batteries and will work even if no batteries are installed. Promote Control will not recharge the internal batteries when the AC adapter is connected.

The AC adapter should be connected to the DC power input port as described in Interfaces chapter. The Promote Control uses 6V / 300mA of DC power with a positive center connection. An adapter with 5 to 9 volts output can be used.

Use only AC adapter units approved by Promote Systems. Using any other power supply units may void the warranty, cause Promote Control to malfunction, and may result in an electric shock, fire, and/or a personal injury.
